Hi, im 19 and i want to start doing car racing, i was just wondering is there a place in essex or near essex where there is car racing where any one can turn up and join in? if not what other places are there and how would you join? It dont have to be like formula one cars, it could be minis or anything. Give me some options

Racing is a very expensive pastime.
If you look around there may be Drive days at tracks around where you live, these vary from the Formula Fords up to F3 cars.
After you have paid your small fortune to do these drive days and have shown some ability you then have to get your Motor sport licence.
I’m not sure about the UK, but am assuming that they have the single make series. With these you pay a certain amount ,upwards of $50,000 (20,000 pounds)in Australia, $150,000 for the Lotus Elise Series and they take the cars to each venue and you just jump in and drive.
You pay for all damage and repairs.
If you win a season, you may be able get enough sponsorship or get hired to drive other vehicles.
Or just try a season of go-karts, again not cheap but all good racers learnt racecraft in them and very, very enjoyable.
If you are in Essex, Arena Essex (near Lakeside in Thurrock) offers stock car racing.
